Deon graduated from the Singapore Management University in 2019 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2020.
Having trained with the firm, Deon’s areas of practice include intellectual property, technology, and corporate matters.
On the intellectual property front, Deon has assisted with trade mark and patent applications in Singapore and abroad. He has also rendered legal advice pertaining to copyright law in Singapore.
Deon has had experience with aiding clients with the Payment Services Act and the regulatory requirements. He has also assisted with legal opinions regarding the legal status of various cryptocurrencies. Furthermore, he is has also reviewed clients’ data protection policies and advised on amendments to conform with the requirements under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
He has also assisted in reviewing various corporate transactions, including shareholder agreements and share subscription agreements.
Deon is fluent in English and Mandarin.
