Natalie Loh Wei Ning

Natalie graduated from the Singapore Management University, and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, after having completed her training at Gateway Law.

She has experience in, and has assisted in a wide range of matters across various areas of practice including Litigation, Arbitration & Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property (IP), Franchising & Licensing, Corporate & Commercial and Employment, amongst others.

Natalie’s experience in arbitration include assisting in a defence against a contractual claim for damages relating to a government project, wherein the team had successfully defended against a striking-out application. She also assists and advises clients on other contentious matters such as bankruptcy and employment issues. Natalie has most recently assisted a client in a matter against its ex-employees, who had attempted to solicit its customers and the unauthorised use of confidential proprietary information in breach of their employment agreement.

Natalie also currently assists local and international clients with the registration, persecution as well as enforcement of trade marks and other IP rights, and advises clients on matters relating to patent infringement. As for Franchising & Licensing matters, she has assisted clients in reviewing franchise documents to ensure compliance with franchise laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.

Her experience in Corporate & Commercial matters includes drafting and reviewing of commercial agreements such as shareholders’ agreement, collaboration agreement, contribution agreement, amongst others, for clients which also include government statutory boards. Natalie also regularly advises start-up technology companies on issues relating to investment funding.

Natalie is fluent in Mandarin, having spent a semester abroad in Shanghai, China. In her penultimate semester at the University, she was awarded the Temasek Foundation Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking Programme (LEaRN) scholarship to embark on an exchange programme at Shanghai Jiao Tong University Ko Guan Law School, where she studied under the LL.M. Program in Chinese Law.
