Shahera directly managed the trade mark prosecution matters for clients ranging from tech companies, luxury brands, hotels and healthcare services at various stages of the process across multiple ASEAN jurisdictions (including Singapore).
She also advised clients on trademark protection strategy at every stage of trademark prosecution procedure, from identifying the relevant classes of goods/services, performing conflict checks with earlier trade marks and advising the Client on the risks of citations/oppositions, responding to Office Actions (either through written submissions or filing statutory declarations) etc.
She has also provided advice to several multi-national corporations on settlement agreements in relation to trademark disputes.
She is experienced in drafting a range of intellectual property/other related agreements, including inter alia, co-existence agreement in the settlement of a trade mark dispute, confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure agreements, website terms of use, distribution agreements, privacy policies, intellectual property policies, franchise agreements, trademark licensing agreements, Infrastructure-as-a-Service Agreements etc. and providing legal advice in relation to a range of intellectual property issues, from parallel importation to the circumvention of technological measures.
