International Arbitration

Gateway’s International Arbitration Practice Group is helmed by experienced practitioners, Mr Max Ng and Mr Mitchel Chua.

Gateway’s International Arbitration Practice Group is able to provide our clients with international expertise from the platform of a Singapore law practice. Not only do we handle all arbitrations from start to finish, including advocacy at trial, we can also provide pre-dispute advice on Singapore law, and represent our clients in related Singapore court litigation proceedings (e.g. recognition of awards and subsequent enforcement therefor). This makes us a “one stop shop” for our clients’ global disputes needs.

This integrated approach positions Gateway as a versatile and reliable partner for clients navigating complex international disputes. By providing end-to-end legal solutions under one roof, the practice group eliminates the need for multiple service providers, delivering efficient and cohesive strategies. Clients benefit from Gateway’s commitment to aligning legal outcomes with their broader commercial objectives, supported by the team’s extensive experience and proven track record in managing multifaceted cases across jurisdictions.

We have particular expertise in intellectual property, technology (i.e. particularly in the areas(s) of robotics, software design and build, supply and/or tech-transfer agreements), manufacturing, debt recovery, employment (i.e. enforcement of restrictive covenants) and contractual-related disputes.

Specifically, our Mr Max Ng is an acclaimed legal expert in his field. He is also a fellow with the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, and also sits on the IP Panel of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, and the Asian International Arbitration Centre.
